Fitness
What's so liberating about modern fitness is that it is modern, full of progressive wisdom of how to accomplish a task safely and effectively for maximum results. Back in the day, fitness was mostly about achieving goals like lifting a certain amount of weight or fitting into a dress size. Modern fitness says that maintaining your health is successful, having low blood pressure is a reason to celebrate, exercising to do something good for yourself today is a win. Modern fitness applauds you for taking decisive steps toward being the best you can be now, regardless of your age, gender, shape, abilities, or dress size.
The reason Matt started his 20+ year career in fitness was because he was uninspired to continue working for a then small internet start-up company named Amazon.com. All day long, Matt sat in front of a computer fielding calls and typing emails as part of his customer service job. This already gave him back pain at age 27. When Matt saw a flyer at a local gym announcing auditions for kickboxing instructors, Matt knew he had to try. Not only did he get the job, but Matt got certified to teach as many group exercise formats as he could find. Yoga was the last format he learned which proved to be the foundation of his later work in personal training. Personal training excited Matt because it offered him the science behind movement and exercise and the chance to help clients with their fitness intentions. After going full-time in fitness, Matt left Amazon.com only to return years later on his terms with a better back, as their first yoga instructor.
