EXPAND YOUR EDGES
HI - My name is Matt Meko. I’ve lived my life as a bodyworker helping people to feel good in their body through fitness, yoga, and Tantra. I rely on the body's innate wisdom to assist people as they explore their goals and interests. It’s been my pleasure to witness others as they move out of their thinking head into their feeling body where interconnectedness, space, freedom, bliss, and less self-centeredness reside. Also, I recommend community resources to support personal, functional, well-rounded care. May you be at home in your body.
STRENGTH TRAINING
Using gym "toys" like weights, balls, and bands, strength training gives you a body that can bend, jump, lift, push, and pull at every age. From getting up from a chair to climbing a mountain, you'll have confidence to participate in life. Adaptable, strength training meets you where you're at; do what you can, as much or as little as you want. |
YOGA
Yoga moves your body efficiently through asanas (postures). You affect your body / mind / heart union by creating space with mobility and flexibility, you affirm your physical structure with focus on alignment, you expand your comfort edges through known and unknown positions, you encourage your mindfulness with a relaxed, subtle breath no matter what you are doing. Go deeper in intimacy outside and inside yourself each time you practice yoga. |
TANTRA
Beyond balance into wholeness, Tantra teaches you how to reconcile and thrive with the inner marriage of your masculine and feminine energies. Pleasure and sensuality are your allies as you explore your curiosities through experiments (Tantra's word for exercises). Tantra keeps you fresh as you're conscious of your choices, you embody them with your body, and you're transparent with the information that surfaces. Beside Tantra's transformational fireworks, expect the sweetness that comes from remembering how to surrender to play. |
SUPPORT REFERRALS
It takes a team of people with different skill sets to lift any individual higher. To list a few care referrals, find benefit from massage by Eric or Leo, mentorship in Tantra with Dancing Shiva Tantra, mental health services with Bartja @ EMFM, counseling with Bibiana, grief support with Kara, meditation studies with Kit Kanohoaloha Wynkoop, volunteering with O'ahu Gay for Good, hiking with Honolulu O'ahu Hawai'i Queer Hiking. |
PRIVATE TRAINING
You could work with Matt either in-person at his Honolulu, Hawai'i home gym and yoga studio or online wherever you are located through Zoom or FaceTime. Arranged at times and days convenient for everyone, training session lengths are either 30 or 60 minutes. Fees for both in-person and online training are listed below (tax included). A $20/session travel fee is added for training not at Matt's home. Tantra private lessons are 60 minutes only.

NAKED YOGA
People of all kinds participate in Matt's naked yoga private lessons and classes while being introduced to a few of Tantra’s basic concepts for a deeper connection to yourself and to others. Private lessons are open to all genders; classes are men only for now.
Class begins with breath work from your root chakra (groin). Asanas (yoga postures) follow to get you deeper into your feeling self. Modifications are given for different levels of experience. Different guided partner stretches invite everyone to explore their personal care (class participants work with multiple partners, but you could also bring an exclusive partner for your comfort). We check-in through conversation for consent and to affirm our experiences.
Great for owning your body and your life, what you could gain from trying naked yoga: acceptance, compassion, wisdom, fulfillment, integration, coherence, contentment, pleasure. What you could lose: inhibition, fear, pride, despair, sloth, loneliness, shame, clothes.

TANTRA
For individuals and couples who want to explore basic Tantra, Matt has developed a primer rooted in Tantra's principles and application. Considering both the path of the individual and the importance of community, Matt is excited to introduce people to Tantra in user-friendly ways comfortable to them either in-person or online.
During Tantra practice, you'll be reminded how Tantra, the roots of yoga, is especially helpful to you becoming more of yourself through reconciling your masculine and feminine energies. We'll create experiments which are information gathering vehicles for your transformation. Practice is usually done naked. We use consent and boundaries (known or as they surface) to keep the work safe and judgment free which includes judging yourself.
When tomorrow seems to stop offering, this is an especially good time to experience Tantra: ground, reconnect, breathe, feel. If you're doing OK with life, use Tantra practice to be proactive with your self-care.

"Our body is a teacher. Most people live in their thoughts, from their neck up. My job as a bodyworker is to help people remember that their entire body is full of guidance. Through embodiment practices like strength training, yoga, and Tantra, we transcend our physical into feeling to speak openly from our heart, a place that honors the full-spectrum of ourselves. When we share information from our inner landscape, we invite support affecting our outer world. By acknowledging our own humanity, we create space to expand communal kindness and compassion toward all things."
